전남도·전력거래소·IBK기업은행, 사회적경제기업 ‘성장 날개’ 달다

전라남도는 15일 한국전력거래소, IBK기업은행과 함께 ‘사회적경제기업 동반성장협력 업무협약’을 체결하고 도내 사회적경제기업의 경영 안정과 자립기반 강화를 위해 손을 맞잡았다.

이번 협약은 한국전력거래소의 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 경영 실천의 일환으로 2023년부터 추진돼 올해로 3년째를 맞았다.

3개 기관은 상호 협력체계를 구축해 사회적경제기업의 성장 지원정책을 적극 추진하기로 했다.

협약에 따라 한국전력거래소는 IBK기업은행에 30억 원을 예치하고, 예탁금 기본 이자 0.5%인 1,500만 원을 전남도에 기탁해 도내 사회적경제기업의 컨설팅, 판로확대, 품질개선, 홍보 지원 등에 활용한다.

또한 IBK기업은행은 해당 예탁금을 기반으로 도내 중소기업과 사회적 경제기업에 대출을 지원하고, 기업별 이자의 2.34%를 감면하는 특례 혜택을 제공한다. 실제로 지난 1년간 도내 사회적 경제기업 등 43개사가 총 30억 원 규모의 대출을 지원받았다.

협약식 이후 강위원 전남도 경제부지사와 전력거래소, IBK기업은행 관계자들은 사회적경제기업의 지속가능한 성장을 위한 기관별 역할과 향후 협력 방향에 대해 심도 있게 논의하며, 공공·금융·지역이 함께하는 상생협력 체계를 지속 강화하기로 뜻을 모았다.

강위원 경제부지사는 “공공과 금융기관이 함께하는 이번 협약은 지속가능한 지역경제 성장과 사회적 가치 확산에 큰 의미가 있다.”며 “전남생태계를 만들기 위해 다양한 협력사업을 발굴해 나가겠다.”도는 앞으로도 공공기관과 기업이 함께 성장하는 사회적 경제라고 밝혔다.

한편 전남도는 공기업의 사회공헌 및 ESG경영과 연계해 사회적 경제 시장 확대 역량강화 IR대회, 청년 창업 아카데미, 우수 사회적 경제기업 육성, 주요 역사 판촉전 등 사회적 경제 활성화를 위한 다양한 지원정책을 펼치고 있다.

Jeonnam Province, Korea Power Exchange, and IBK Bank Join Forces to Boost Social Economy Enterprises
– ₩3 billion deposit to support loans and business stability, expand markets, and strengthen competitiveness –
Jeollanam-do Province signed a “Partnership Agreement for Co-Growth with Social Economy Enterprises” on the 15th with the Korea Power Exchange (KPX) and IBK Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) to strengthen the management stability and self-reliance of social economy enterprises in the province.
This collaboration, launched in 2023 as part of the KPX’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management initiative, marks its third consecutive year. The three organizations agreed to actively cooperate on policies supporting the growth and sustainability of local social economy enterprises.
Under the agreement, the Korea Power Exchange will deposit ₩3 billion (KRW) with IBK Bank and donate the base interest of 0.5%—₩15 million—to Jeonnam Province. The funds will be used to support consulting, marketing expansion, quality improvement, and promotional activities for outstanding social economy enterprises.
IBK Bank will use the deposit to provide loans to local SMEs and social economy enterprises, offering a special interest rate reduction of 2.34%. Over the past year, a total of 43 companies have benefited from this initiative, receiving approximately ₩3 billion in financial support.
Following the signing ceremony, Jeonnam Vice Governor for Economic Affairs Kang Wi-won and representatives from KPX and IBK Bank discussed each institution’s role in promoting sustainable growth for social economy enterprises and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between the public, financial, and regional sectors.
Vice Governor Kang said, “This agreement between public and financial institutions holds great significance for sustainable regional growth and the expansion of social value. Jeonnam Province will continue to foster a cooperative ecosystem where public organizations and private enterprises can grow together through various social economy initiatives.”
Meanwhile, Jeonnam Province is implementing a range of programs in connection with ESG management and corporate social responsibility of public enterprises, including a Social Economy Market Expansion IR Competition, Youth Startup Academy, Outstanding Social Enterprise Development Program, and Sales Promotion Events at Major Train Stations.
