전남도, 공공건축 설계공모 ‘건축HUB’ 본격 도입

전라남도는 공공건축 설계의 공정성과 투명성을 높이고 도민에게 질 높은 건축 환경을 제공하기 위해 ‘건축 설계공모 정보서비스(건축HUB)’ 시스템을 본격 도입했다.

건축HUB는 국토교통부가 구축한 통합 설계공모 플랫폼으로, 공공건축물 설계공고부터 심사위원 선정·관리, 결과 발표까지 모든 절차를 온라인으로 처리할 수 있는 원스톱 서비스다.

전남도는 안정적 시스템 정착을 위해 지난 15일 화순 하니움 문화스포츠센터에서 시군 공무원과 건축사 등 150명을 대상으로 사용지원 교육을 진행했다.

교육에서는 설계공모 등록 절차, 심사위원 교섭 및 선정, 참가업체 자격 검토 등 건축HUB 활용 전 과정을 안내했다.

건축HUB 도입으로 설계공모 참가업체는 지자체 방문 없이 온라인으로 서류 제출이 가능해 시간과 비용을 절감할 수 있다.

지역 청년 건축사들의 참여 기회가 확대돼 공정한 경쟁 환경이 조성되고, 지역 건축 산업 활성화에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.

곽춘섭 전남도 건축개발과장은 “설계공모 과정을 투명하고 효율적으로 운영해 도민 눈높이에 맞는 전남만의 특색 있는 공공건축물을 만들겠다.”며 “앞으로도 도민 중심의 행복한 건축 행정을 지속적으로 추진하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
전남도는 올해 ‘전라남도 목재누리센터 건립사업’을 포함해 총 31건의 설계공모를 완료했으며, 현재 16건의 설계공모 사업을 진행 중이다.

Jeonnam Province Launches Public Architecture Design Competition Service ‘Architecture HUB’
Promoting Fair and Transparent Design, Delivering Citizen-Centered Architectural Environment
Jeonnam Province has officially launched the “Architecture Design Competition Information Service (Architecture HUB)” system to enhance fairness and transparency in public architecture design and provide citizens with a higher-quality built environment.
Architecture HUB is an integrated design competition platform established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It allows all processes—from public architecture design announcements to the selection and management of jurors and announcement of results—to be conducted online through a one-stop service.
To ensure the stable implementation of the system, Jeonnam Province conducted a user support training session on the 15th at the Haniyum Culture & Sports Center in Hwasun, attended by 150 participants including municipal officials and architects.
The training covered all aspects of using Architecture HUB, including design competition registration procedures, juror negotiation and selection, and eligibility review for participating firms.
With the introduction of Architecture HUB, participating firms can submit documents online without visiting local government offices, saving both time and costs. The system is also expected to create a fairer competitive environment and expand opportunities for young local architects, while positively contributing to the revitalization of the regional architecture industry.
Kwak Chun-seop, Director of the Architecture Development Division of Jeonnam Province, stated, “We will operate the design competition process transparently and efficiently to create public buildings with distinctive characteristics that meet citizens’ expectations. We will continue to promote citizen-centered, happy architecture administration.”
This year, Jeonnam Province has completed a total of 31 design competitions, including the “Jeonnam Wood Nuri Center Construction Project,” and is currently conducting 16 ongoing design competition projects.
