전남 농촌지도자, ‘힘찬 도약 전남농업’ 선도 결의

전남 농촌지도자회원들이 전남농업의 새로운 도약을 다짐하며 힘찬 결의를 다졌다.

김영록 전라남도지사는 28일 2025국제농업박람회 주 무대에서 열린 ‘전남 농촌지도자회원 한마음대회’에 참석해 농촌의 든든한 지킴이인 농촌지도자회원들을 격려하고, ‘힘찬 도약 전남농업’을 향한 결의를 함께했다.

이번 대회는 ‘희망찬 농업! 활기찬 농촌! 슬기찬 농촌지도자!’를 주제로 열렸으며, 김문수 전남도의회 농수산위원장, 윤병태 나주시장, 전남도의원, 농촌지도자 회원 등 2천여 명이 참석했다.

행사는 식전 공연, 우수회원 표창, 비전 퍼포먼스 등으로 진행됐다.

참석자들은 국제농업박람회 전시장을 함께 관람하며 화합과 소통의 시간을 가졌다.

특히 전통문화 어울림 한마당에서는 버나 돌리기, 제기차기 등 다양한 경연이 펼쳐져 회원 간 친목을 다지는 한편, 지역 농업의 새로운 도약을 다짐하는 결의의 장이 마련됐다.

시상식에서는 지역사회 발전과 농촌진흥에 헌신한 우수회원과 공무원이 도지사상, 농식품부장관상, 농촌진흥청장상, 한국농촌지도자중앙연합회장상, 한국농촌지도자전남도연합회장상 등을 수상했다.

최원섭 한국농촌지도자 전남도연합회장은 “지역 농업과 농촌을 이끌어가는 농촌지도자회원들이 한자리에 모인 만큼 변화와 혁신의 중심에서 더욱 단합해 ‘힘찬 도약 전남농업’을 선도하겠다.”고 말했다.

김영록 지사는 “값진 땀방울로 국민의 먹거리를 책임지시는 농촌지도자회원은 전남의 자랑이자 대한민국의 희망”이라며 “앞으로도 4차 산업혁명 시대에 걸맞은 창의성과 혁신으로 전남이 AI농업을 선도하는 미래 생명산업으로 도약하는데 앞장서 달라”고 당부했다.

한편, 한국농촌지도자 전남도연합회는 1947년 농촌 재건과 부흥을 위해 출범했으며, 현재 도내 248개 회, 1만 4천여 명이 활동 중인 대표적인 농촌지도자 단체다.

Jeonnam Rural Leaders Pledge to Lead the “Vigorous Leap of Jeonnam Agriculture”
One-Hearted Rally at the International Agricultural Expo Highlights Harmony, Communication, and Future Agricultural Vision
Members of the Jeonnam Rural Leaders Association have gathered to reaffirm their commitment to the new leap forward for Jeonnam agriculture.
On the 28th, Jeollanam-do Governor Kim Young-rok attended the “Jeonnam Rural Leaders Association One-Hearted Rally” held on the main stage of the 2025 International Agricultural Expo. He encouraged the rural leaders, the steadfast guardians of rural communities, and joined them in pledging to drive the “Vigorous Leap of Jeonnam Agriculture.”
The rally, themed “Hopeful Agriculture! Vibrant Rural Communities! Wise Rural Leaders!”, drew over 2,000 participants, including Kim Moon-soo, Chairman of the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, Yoon Byung-tae, Mayor of Naju, provincial assembly members, and rural leader members.
The event featured a pre-ceremony performance, awards for outstanding members, and a vision performance. Participants also toured the exhibition halls of the International Agricultural Expo together, fostering a spirit of harmony and communication.
During the Traditional Culture Harmony Festival held prior to the ceremony, various contests such as spinning the beorna and jegichagi (Korean traditional games) were held, strengthening friendship among members and creating a symbolic moment to reaffirm their commitment to the leap forward in regional agriculture.
At the awards ceremony, outstanding members and public officials who contributed to community development and rural advancement received honors including the Governor’s Award, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award, the Rural Development Administration Award, the Korean Rural Leaders Central Association President Award, and the Jeonnam Rural Leaders Association President Award.
Choi Won-seop, President of the Jeonnam Rural Leaders Association, stated, “As rural leaders who guide regional agriculture and communities have gathered in one place, we will unite at the center of change and innovation to lead the ‘Vigorous Leap of Jeonnam Agriculture.’”
Governor Kim Young-rok said, “Rural leaders, who ensure the nation’s food security with their hard work, are not only Jeonnam’s pride but also the hope of Korea. I urge you to continue leading Jeonnam into a future bio-industry that pioneers AI agriculture with creativity and innovation suited for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
Founded in 1947 to rebuild and revitalize rural communities, the Jeonnam Rural Leaders Association currently operates 248 chapters across the province, with approximately 14,000 members, making it a leading organization of rural leaders in the region.
