영산강유역환경청(청장 김영우)은 2025년 9월 30일, 광양만권 지역의 대기질 개선과 지속 가능한 환경 관리 강화를 위해 관련 지자체 및 기업과 상생협력 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 광양만권 지역의 미세먼지와 대기오염 문제를 효과적으로 관리하고, 지역 사회와 기업이 함께 참여하는 환경 개선 활동을 촉진하기 위해 마련됐다.

협약 참여 기관들은 공동 연구, 모니터링 강화, 친환경 정책 추진 등 다양한 분야에서 협력할 계획이다.

영산강유역환경청 김영우 청장은 “이번 협약을 통해 지역 주민들의 건강을 지키고, 지속 가능한 산업 발전과 환경 보호를 동시에 실현할 수 있는 기반을 마련하게 되었다.”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 상생형 환경 정책을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.

이번 상생협력 협약은 대기질 개선뿐만 아니라 지역 경제와 환경의 균형 있는 발전을 목표로 하며, 향후 구체적 실행 계획과 성과는 정기적으로 공유될 예정이다.
