환경부 산하 국립호남권생물자원관(관장 박진영)은 오는 10월 2일부터 전남 목포시 소재 한국섬온실에서 「온실에서 알아보는 꽃의 비밀」 기획전을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 전시는 꽃의 개화, 향기, 색깔 등 다양한 특징을 중심으로 꽃과 수분 매개자, 생태계와의 상호관계를 살펴볼 수 있도록 구성됐다.

특히 관람객이 직접 참여할 수 있는 체험형 프로그램을 마련해 꽃의 다채로운 비밀을 스스로 발견할 수 있도록 기획됐다.

전시에서는 계절 변화에 따른 꽃의 개화 원리, 다양한 꽃의 수분 매개자 탐구, 영상과 그래픽을 통한 꽃 색깔의 생존 전략 이해 등 꽃에 대한 심층 학습이 가능하다.

또한 전시 마지막에는 ‘생명의 꽃나무 만들기’, ‘나만의 꽃엽서 제작’, ‘꽃향기 시향’ 등 가족 단위 관람객이 함께 즐길 수 있는 체험 콘텐츠가 제공된다.

박진영 국립호남권생물자원관장은 “이번 전시는 꽃을 통해 생태계 속 생물다양성의 소중함을 쉽고 재미있게 체험할 수 있도록 기획했다.”며,

“관람객들이 꽃의 향기와 색깔, 개화 과정을 직접 느끼며 자연과 더 깊이 교감하길 바란다.”고 말했다.


이번 기획전은 10월 2일부터 한국섬온실에서 진행되며, 가족 단위 관람객과 지역 주민 누구나 참여할 수 있다.

National Institute of Biological Resources, Honam Region to Host “Secrets of Flowers” Exhibition at Korea Island Greenhouse
A unique opportunity for local residents to experience natural science awaits in Jeonnam.
The National Institute of Biological Resources, Honam Region (Director Park Jin-young), under the Ministry of Environment, announced that it will hold the special exhibition “Discovering the Secrets of Flowers in the Greenhouse” at the Korea Island Greenhouse in Mokpo, Jeonnam, starting October 2.
The exhibition is designed to explore flowers’ blooming patterns, scents, and colors, focusing on the relationships between flowers, their pollinators, and the wider ecosystem.
Interactive programs have been prepared to allow visitors to personally uncover the diverse secrets of flowers.
Visitors can engage in in-depth learning about the principles of seasonal flower blooming, explore characteristics of various pollinators, and understand the survival strategies of flower colors through videos and graphics.
At the end of the exhibition, family-oriented activities such as “Creating a Tree of Life with Flowers,” “Making Your Own Flower Postcard,” and “Flower Scent Experience” are offered to ensure an enjoyable and educational experience for all ages.
Director Park Jin-young said, “This exhibition was designed to provide a fun and accessible way for people to experience the importance of biodiversity through flowers. We hope visitors can feel the fragrance, colors, and blooming process of flowers firsthand, fostering a deeper connection with nature.”
The exhibition will run from October 2 at the Korea Island Greenhouse, welcoming families and local residents alike.
