전라남도와 전남인재평생교육진흥원은 교육기회 확대와 지역 인재의 성장을 돕기 위한 ‘2025년 하반기 전남인재육성 장학생’을 오는 31일까지 모집한다고 밝혔다.

이번 장학금은 실질적인 교육기회 보장과 지역 정착 지원을 위해 마련된 것으로, 총 15종 장학금에 9억5천700만 원 규모로 868명에게 지원된다.

신청 대상은 공고일 기준으로 학생 본인 또는 보호자(부·모·후견인)가 1년 이상 전남도에 주민등록이 되어 있는 초·중·고등학생과 대학생, 그리고 전남도에 1년 이상 체류 중이며 남은 체류기간이 6개월 이상인 외국인 유학생이다.

장학금은 전남인재 장학금, 전남정착 장학금, 특별지정 장학금 등 3개 분야로 구분해 선발한다.

전남인재 장학금은 다자녀 가정의 부담을 덜어주는 ‘다자녀 장학금’, 긴급지원 대상자를 위한 ‘상시 장학금’ 등 총 4종으로 313명을 지원한다.

전남정착 장학금은 대학생 창업을 지원하는 ‘벤처창업 대학생 장학금’, ‘외국인 유학생 장학금’, ‘산학협력 취업패키지 장학금’ 등 5종으로 316명을 선발한다.

특별지정 장학금은 전남학숙 장학금, 5·18민주유공자 자녀 장학금, 전남-전력거래소·한전KPS·aT·KISA 등 기관과의 지역상생 장학금 등 6종으로 239명을 지원할 예정이다.

범희승 전남인재평생교육진흥원장은 “전남의 인재들이 경제적 어려움 없이 배움의 꿈을 이어나갈 수 있도록 다양한 장학제도를 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.

Jeonnam Province to Recruit 868 ‘Jeonnam Talent Development Scholars’ by October 31
15 Types of Scholarships Totaling KRW 957 Million…Supporting Local Settlement and Future Talent Development
Jeonnam Province and the Jeonnam Lifelong Education Promotion Institute announced that they are accepting applications for the 2025 second-half Jeonnam Talent Development Scholarships until October 31 to expand educational opportunities and support the growth of local talent.
These scholarships are designed to ensure practical educational opportunities and support local settlement. A total of 15 types of scholarships, amounting to KRW 957 million, will be awarded to 868 students.
Eligible applicants include elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as university students, whose residence or their guardian’s residence (parent or legal guardian) has been registered in Jeonnam Province for at least one year as of the announcement date, and international students who have resided in Jeonnam for more than one year and have at least six months remaining.
The scholarships are divided into three categories: Jeonnam Talent Scholarships, Jeonnam Settlement Scholarships, and Special Designation Scholarships.
Jeonnam Talent Scholarships include four types, such as the ‘Multi-Child Scholarship’ to ease the financial burden on large families and the ‘Emergency Support Scholarship’ for urgent cases, supporting 313 students.
Jeonnam Settlement Scholarships consist of five types, including the ‘Venture Startup Scholarship’ for university students, the ‘International Student Scholarship’, and the ‘Industry-Academia Employment Package Scholarship’, supporting 316 students.
Special Designation Scholarships are targeted scholarships such as the Jeonnam Dormitory Scholarship, the 5·18 Democratic Movement Merit Scholarship, and regional cooperation scholarships in partnership with the Jeonnam-Power Exchange, KEPCO KPS, aT, and KISA, supporting 239 students.
Beom Hee-seung, President of the Jeonnam Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, stated, “We will continue to expand various scholarship programs so that talented students in Jeonnam can pursue their educational dreams without financial difficulties.”
