기후에너지환경부 산하 국립호남권생물자원관(관장 박진영)은 10월 16일, 문화·관람분야 안전강화협의체와 함께 전시관, 한국 섬 온실 등 주요 시설을 대상으로 합동 안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
‘문화·관람분야 안전강화협의체’는 지난 2019년 구성되어 국립호남권생물자원관을 비롯한 8개 기관이 참여하고 있으며, 매년 순회하며 합동안전점검과 안전캠페인을 실시해 공공기관의 안전역량 강화를 도모하고 있다.
이번 점검은 국립호남권생물자원관과 국립아시아문화전당이 공동 주관했다.

이번 합동점검에서는 8개 기관의 안전담당자들이 시설을 순회하며 잠재적 위험요소를 사전에 발굴하고, 관람객과 직원이 체감할 수 있는 안전문화 정착과 재해예방에 중점을 두었다.
16일에는 국립호남권생물자원관 전시관과 한국섬온실, 야외 놀이시설 등 관람객 주요 동선을 중심으로 기관별 다양한 관점에서의 위험요소 점검, 관람객 사고 예상지역 집중 점검, 시설물 파손 및 노후화 상태 등을 세밀히 살폈다.
이어 17일에는 국립아시아문화전당 및 전당재단으로 이동해 문화창조원, 문화정보원, 상설무대, 작품작업실 등 주요 문화예술 공간의 안전관리 현황을 집중 점검했다.
양일간의 점검을 통해 각 기관은 시설별 잠재 위험요소를 발굴하고 개선 방안을 논의했으며, 향후 문화·관람분야 공공기관의 산업재해 예방과 안전관리 수준 향상을 위해 지속적인 협력체계를 이어갈 계획이다.
박진영 국립호남권생물자원관장은 “이번 합동점검은 8개 기관의 전문성이 결합된 협력의 모범사례로, 더 안전한 관람 환경을 만드는 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “국민이 안심하고 방문할 수 있는 문화 공간 조성과 함께, 안전을 통한 공공기관의 ESG 가치 실현에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

“Public Safety Comes First” — Eight Public Institutions Unite for Visitor Safety!
– Joint Safety Inspection Conducted by the National Honam Biological Resources Center and the Cultural and Exhibition Safety Enhancement Council –
– Promoting ESG Achievements through Cooperation Beyond Safety Culture –
The National Honam Biological Resources Center (Director Park Jin-young), under the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, announced that on October 16 it conducted a joint safety inspection of major facilities, including the exhibition hall and the Korea Island Greenhouse, in collaboration with the Cultural and Exhibition Safety Enhancement Council.
Formed in 2019, the Cultural and Exhibition Safety Enhancement Council comprises eight public institutions, including the National Honam Biological Resources Center. Each year, the council carries out joint safety inspections and safety campaigns to strengthen public institutions’ safety management capabilities. This year’s inspection was co-organized by the National Honam Biological Resources Center and the Asia Culture Center.

During the joint inspection, safety officers from the eight institutions toured the facilities to identify potential risks in advance, focusing on fostering a strong culture of safety and preventing accidents that could affect visitors and staff alike.
On October 16, the inspection team focused on the main visitor routes, including the exhibition hall, Korea Island Greenhouse, and outdoor playground facilities. They conducted a detailed review of potential risk factors, likely accident zones, and facility damage or aging issues from various institutional perspectives.
The following day, on October 17, the inspection continued at the Asia Culture Center and its affiliated foundation, with safety assessments carried out at major cultural and artistic spaces such as the Culture Creation Hall, Culture Information Hall, permanent stages, and art studios.
Throughout the two-day inspection, participating institutions identified potential hazards, discussed improvement measures, and agreed to continue strengthening cooperative frameworks to prevent industrial accidents and enhance overall safety management within public cultural facilities.
Director Park Jin-young of the National Honam Biological Resources Center stated, “This joint inspection serves as a model of collaboration that combines the expertise of eight institutions to create a safer environment for visitors. We will continue our proactive and comprehensive safety efforts to ensure cultural spaces where the public can feel secure, while advancing ESG values through safety-centered public service.”
