전남 나주 전남도농업기술원에서 23일 개막한 2025 국제농업박람회가 7일간의 일정에 들어갔다.
박람회 첫날부터 전남 대표 브랜드 쌀 ‘새청무’가 영국, 프랑스, 일본, 우즈베키스탄 등 4개국과 2천 톤 규모 수출 협약을 체결하며 의미 있는 성과를 올렸다.
개막식에는 송미령 농림축산식품부 장관, 김영록 전남도지사, 주철현 국회의원 등 국내외 주요 인사와 해외 바이어가 참석했다.
미디어 퍼포먼스와 VR 드로잉, 휴머노이드 로봇·로봇견 세리머니 등 첨단 기술과 예술이 결합된 행사로 관람객의 큰 호응을 받았다. 홍보대사 송가인의 축하공연도 열기를 더했다.
박람회는 ‘농업이 세상을 바꾼다 – AI와 함께하는 농업혁신, 생명 키우는 K-농업’을 주제로, 전시·체험·비즈니스가 결합된 5개 테마로 구성됐다.
상생마당에서는 청년 창업농 마켓과 농산물 패션쇼 등 문화 체험을, 농업미래전과 농업 산업전에서는 AI 스마트팜과 최신 농기계 기술을 직접 체험할 수 있다.
비즈니스전에서는 17개국 50개 사 해외 바이어 초청 수출상담회와 국제 학술대회가 진행된다.
김영록 전남도지사는 “AI로 혁신하고, 생명을 키우는 K-농업을 통해 전남이 대한민국 농업의 미래를 선도하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
박람회는 오는 29일까지 나주 전남도농업기술원 일원에서 열린다.

2025 International Agriculture Expo Opens… Jeonnam Leading the Future of K-Agriculture
The 2025 International Agriculture Expo opened on the 23rd at the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services in Naju, Jeonnam, kicking off a 7-day event.
On the first day, Jeonnam’s flagship rice brand, “Saechungmu,” signed an export agreement with four countries – the United Kingdom, France, Japan, and Uzbekistan – for a total of 2,000 tons, marking a significant achievement.
The opening ceremony was attended by key domestic and international figures, including Song Mi-ryeong, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam, and Congressman Joo Cheol-hyun, as well as overseas buyers.
The event featured a media performance, VR drawing, and a ceremony with humanoid robots and the robot dog “Spot,” blending advanced technology and art, which received great acclaim from attendees. The celebration was further energized by a special performance by ambassador Song Ga-in.
The expo, themed “Agriculture Changes the World – AI-Driven Agricultural Innovation, Growing Life with K-Agriculture,” is organized into five zones combining exhibition, hands-on experience, and business opportunities.
Sangsaeng Plaza: Cultural experiences such as the Youth Startup Farmers Market and agricultural fashion shows.
Future of Agriculture Zone & Agricultural Industry Zone: Hands-on experience with AI smart farms and the latest agricultural machinery.
Business Zone: Export consultation sessions and international academic conferences with 50 overseas buyers from 17 countries.
Governor Kim Young-rok stated, “Through AI-driven innovation and life-nurturing K-Agriculture, Jeonnam will lead the future of South Korean agriculture.”
The expo runs through October 29 at the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services in Naju.
