전라남도가 미국 로스앤젤레스(LA)에서 현지 기업과 경제단체를 대상으로 투자설명회를 열고 글로벌 투자 네트워크 확장에 본격 나섰다.

지난 21일 LA 한인상공회의소에서 열린 이번 설명회에는 한인상공회의소 임원단을 비롯해 주요 기업 대표, 투자 전문가 등 100여 명이 참석하며 뜨거운 관심을 보였다.

전남도는 전남 중소기업 일자리 경제 진흥원과 공동으로 전남도 투자환경, 전략산업 육성계획, 기업 지원제도 등을 소개하며 적극적인 투자유치 활동을 펼쳤다.

특히 AI 기반 스타트업, 로펌, 언론 관계자들과의 간담회를 통해 전남의 산업 경쟁력과 투자 기회를 공유했다.

캘리포니아한국기업협회(KITA)와 진행된 투자 간담회에서는 미국 정책 사례를 바탕으로 전남도의 투자 전략에 대해 조언이 이어졌다.

참석자들은 향후 협력 기업과 함께 전남을 방문해 실질적 교류를 이어가겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.

또한 전남도는 미국 최대 규모의 경제단체인 LA세계한인경제무역협회(OKTA LA)를 방문해 전남 투자 여건을 설명하고, 투자 관심 기업과 1:1 상담을 진행하며 실질적 투자 연계를 모색했다.

전남도 관계자는 “이번 LA 방문을 계기로 전남의 글로벌 투자 네트워크를 확대하고, 전략 산업 중심의 투자 유치에 속도를 내겠다.”고 밝혔다.

Jeonnam Province Declares ‘Global Investment Hub’ in LA, Strengthens Cooperation with U.S. Companies
– Strategic investment discussions with local business organizations and companies, promoting Jeonnam’s industrial competitiveness –
Jeonnam Province held an investment briefing in Los Angeles (LA), U.S., targeting local businesses and economic organizations, marking a significant step in expanding its global investment network.
The briefing, held on October 21 at the LA Korean Chamber of Commerce, attracted strong interest, with over 100 participants including chamber executives, leading company representatives, and investment experts.
In collaboration with the Jeonnam Small and Medium Enterprise Employment & Economy Promotion Agency, the province presented its investment environment, strategic industry development plans, and corporate support programs, actively promoting investment opportunities.
The event also featured meetings with AI-based startups, law firms, and media representatives to share Jeonnam’s industrial competitiveness and investment prospects.
During a separate investment consultation with the Korea-California Business Association (KITA), participants offered advice on Jeonnam’s investment strategies, drawing from U.S. policy examples. Attendees expressed their intention to visit Jeonnam with partner companies in the future to continue practical exchanges.
Additionally, Jeonnam officials visited the Los Angeles World Korean Business Association (OKTA LA), the largest economic organization in the U.S., to present investment conditions in Jeonnam and conduct one-on-one consultations with companies interested in investing, seeking tangible investment connections.
A Jeonnam provincial official stated, “This visit to LA provides an opportunity to expand our global investment network and accelerate investment attraction focused on strategic industries.”
