더불어민주당 명현관 해남군수 예비후보가 종교계와 동문 사회를 잇는 연속 현장 방문을 통해 지역 공동체 결속과 외부 네트워크 강화에 나서며 ‘소통 중심 행보’를 이어가고 있다.

명 예비후보는 지난 19일 해남 구교체육관에서 열린 ‘해남읍교회 전교인 한마음 체육대회’에 참석해 교인들과 직접 인사를 나누고 격려의 메시지를 전했다.
이번 행사는 체육활동과 레크리에이션을 통해 교인 간 친목을 도모하고 공동체 의식을 강화하기 위해 마련된 자리로, 지역 내 종교 공동체의 결속력을 확인하는 계기가 됐다.

명 예비후보는 이 자리에서 “교회가 지역사회의 소외된 이웃을 돌보고 화합을 이끄는 역할은 매우 중요하다”며 “이러한 공동체 정신이야말로 해남이 나아가야 할 방향이며, 공동체 회복의 핵심 가치”라고 강조했다. 이어 종교계의 사회적 역할에 대해 깊은 공감을 표하며 적극적인 협력 의지를 밝혔다.

같은 날 명 예비후보는 고산 윤선도 유적지인 해남 녹우당을 찾아, 현장을 방문한 재경 광주상고 동문들과 만나 소통의 시간을 가졌다.
이번 만남은 동문들이 명 예비후보를 격려하기 위해 직접 해남을 방문하면서 성사된 것으로, 지역 발전에 대한 다양한 의견을 나누는 의미 있는 자리로 이어졌다.

명 예비후보는 동문들에게 감사의 뜻을 전하며 “지역을 떠나 있는 분들의 관심과 응원이 해남 발전의 큰 자산”이라며 “현장의 목소리를 정책에 반영해 실질적인 변화로 이어가겠다.”고 밝혔다.
이어 “성도들의 끈끈한 유대와 동문들의 따뜻한 지지를 동시에 확인한 뜻깊은 하루였다”며 “앞으로도 군민이 서로 소통하고 화합할 수 있는 환경을 조성해 나가겠다.”고 강조했다.

또한 “’이어가야 완성됩니다’라는 슬로건 아래 해남의 지속 가능한 발전을 위한 정책 행보를 멈추지 않겠다.”며, 공동체 기반의 지역 발전 의지를 재차 밝혔다.

이번 행보는 종교·동문 등 다양한 사회 집단을 아우르는 ‘연결형 정치’의 일환으로, 지역 내 결속 강화와 외부 지지 기반 확장을 동시에 겨냥한 것으로 평가된다.

Myung Hyun-kwan, preliminary candidate for Haenam County Governor from the Democratic Party of Korea, is continuing a series of on-site visits connecting religious groups and alumni networks, reinforcing community unity and expanding external support through a communication-centered approach.
On the 19th, Myung attended the “Haenam-eup Church All-Members Unity Sports Festival” held at the old gymnasium in Haenam, where he greeted participants and delivered messages of encouragement.
The event was organized to promote fellowship among church members through sports and recreational activities, serving as an opportunity to strengthen solidarity within the local religious community.
At the event, Myung stated, “The role of churches in caring for the underprivileged and fostering harmony in the community is extremely important,” adding, “This spirit of community is the very direction Haenam must pursue and a core value for restoring our society.” He also expressed strong support for the social role of religious communities and his willingness to collaborate.
Later the same day, Myung visited Nokudang, the historic residence of poet Yun Seon-do, where he met with alumni of Gwangju Commercial High School based in Seoul.
The meeting was arranged as the alumni personally visited Haenam to show their support, and it became a meaningful occasion to exchange views on regional development.
Expressing his gratitude, Myung said, “The interest and support of those who have left the region are valuable assets for Haenam’s development,” adding, “I will reflect voices from the field into policies to bring about tangible change.”
He continued, “It was a meaningful day where I could feel both the strong bonds among church members and the warm encouragement from alumni,” emphasizing, “I will continue to create an environment where residents can communicate and unite.”
He also reaffirmed his commitment, stating, “Under the slogan ‘Continuity Completes the Future,’ I will not stop pursuing policies for the sustainable development of Haenam.”
This series of activities is seen as part of a “connective politics” approach that embraces various social groups, aiming to strengthen local cohesion while simultaneously expanding external support networks.
