더불어민주당 명현관 해남군수 예비후보가 같은 당 소속 전남광주특별시의원 및 해남군의원 예비후보들과 함께 지역 곳곳을 누비며 ‘민주당 원팀(One-Team)’ 민생 행보에 나섰다.
지역 조직력과 결속력을 강화하는 동시에, 군민 생활 현장을 중심으로 한 통합 행보를 본격화하는 모습이다.

명 예비후보와 더불어민주당 예비후보들은 5월 4일 문내 오일장을 찾아 시장 상인과 주민들을 만나 현장의 목소리를 직접 청취했다.
후보들은 시장 곳곳을 돌며 주민들과 일일이 악수하고 지역경제 상황과 민생 애로를 들으며 소통을 이어갔다.

명 예비후보는 이날 현장에서 “고물가와 경기 침체로 어려움을 겪는 소상공인과 자영업자들을 위한 실질적 지원 대책 마련에 민주당 후보들이 함께 힘을 모으겠다.”며 “군민이 체감할 수 있는 민생 정책으로 반드시 보답하겠다.”고 강조했다.

이어 후보들은 계곡면사무소 회의실에서 열린 계곡면 이장회의를 찾아 지역 현안을 청취하고 행정 최일선에서 활동하는 이장들을 격려했다.
명 예비후보는 이 자리에서 “도의원과 군의원 후보들이 원팀이 되어 계곡면의 숙원사업과 생활 SOC 사업들을 꼼꼼히 챙기겠다.”며 “도와 군, 의회가 유기적으로 협력해야 해남의 중단 없는 발전을 이뤄낼 수 있다”고 밝혔다.

오후에는 계곡면 대운마을회관에서 열린 경로잔치 현장을 방문해 어르신들과 인사를 나누고 건강과 안부를 살폈다.
명 예비후보와 도·군의원 예비후보들은 어르신들에게 합동으로 큰절을 올리며 경로당 환경 개선과 맞춤형 복지 확대 의지를 밝혔다.

이들은 “어르신들이 존중받고 편안한 노후를 보낼 수 있도록 복지 사각지대 해소와 경로당 지원 확대에 민주당이 앞장서겠다.”며 “현장에서 체감할 수 있는 복지 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다.”고 말했다.

명현관 예비후보는 이날 일정을 마친 뒤 “이번 선거는 단순한 개인의 승부가 아니라 해남을 대한민국 대표 농어촌수도로 완성하기 위한 중요한 전환점”이라며 “민선 7·8기 동안 검증된 성과를 바탕으로 민주당 원팀이 압승해 중단 없는 해남 발전을 반드시 실현하겠다.”고 강조했다.

한편 명 예비후보는 최근 지역 내 민주당 후보들과의 공동 행보를 확대하며 조직 결속과 민심 다지기에 속도를 내고 있다.
또 군민 생활과 밀접한 현장 중심 공약을 순차적으로 발표하며 ‘성과로 증명하는 행정’, ‘현장에서 답을 찾는 군정’ 기조를 이어간다는 방침이다.

Myung Hyun-kwan, preliminary candidate for Haenam County Governor from the Democratic Party of Korea, joined fellow preliminary candidates for the Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan Council and Haenam County Council in a large-scale grassroots outreach campaign across the region under the banner of a “Democratic Party One-Team.”
The move is seen as an effort to strengthen local organizational unity while accelerating people-centered political engagement focused on residents’ everyday lives.
On May 4, Myung and the Democratic Party candidates visited the Munnae traditional market, where they met merchants and local residents to listen directly to concerns from the field.
The candidates toured the market together, shaking hands with citizens and discussing local economic difficulties and livelihood-related issues.
Speaking at the site, Myung stated, “Democratic Party candidates will work together to prepare practical support measures for small business owners and self-employed workers suffering from high inflation and economic stagnation,” adding, “We will repay residents with policies that they can truly feel in their daily lives.”
The candidates later attended a meeting of village leaders held at the Gyegok Township Office conference room, where they listened to regional concerns and encouraged local leaders working on the frontlines of community administration.
At the meeting, Myung said, “Provincial and county council candidates will work together as one team to carefully address Gyegok’s long-awaited projects and local SOC infrastructure needs,” emphasizing that “close cooperation among the provincial government, county administration, and local council is essential to achieving uninterrupted development for Haenam.”
In the afternoon, the group visited a senior citizens’ community celebration at Daeun Village Hall in Gyegok Township, greeting elderly residents and checking on their well-being and health.
Myung and the Democratic Party preliminary candidates offered a collective traditional bow to the senior citizens while reaffirming their commitment to improving senior center facilities and expanding customized welfare support.
The candidates stated, “The Democratic Party will take the lead in eliminating welfare blind spots and expanding support for senior centers so that elderly residents can enjoy respected and comfortable lives,” adding, “We will continue promoting welfare policies that people can genuinely experience in the field.”
After completing the day’s schedule, Myung remarked, “This election is not merely about an individual victory, but a crucial turning point in completing Haenam’s transformation into Korea’s leading rural capital.”
He added, “Based on the proven achievements of the 7th and 8th local administrations, the Democratic Party One-Team will secure a sweeping victory and realize uninterrupted development for Haenam.”
Meanwhile, Myung has recently expanded joint activities with Democratic Party candidates across the region, accelerating efforts to strengthen organizational unity and build public support.
He is also preparing to sequentially unveil field-oriented policy pledges closely tied to residents’ everyday lives, continuing his administrative philosophy of “proving through results” and “finding answers in the field.”
