‘농업이 세상을 바꾼다.’…2025국제농업박람회 23일 나주서 개막

대한민국 농업의 미래를 제시할 세계적 축제, ‘2025국제농업박람회’가 오는 23일부터 29일까지 7일간 전라남도 나주 산포면 박람회장 일원에서 열린다.

이번 박람회는 ‘농업이 세상을 바꾼다’를 대주제로, ‘AI와 함께하는 농업혁신, 생명 키우는 K-농업’이라는 슬로건 아래 25개국 380여 개 기관이 참여한다.

기후 위기와 식량 안보 등 전 지구적 과제 속에서 농업이 제시할 수 있는 혁신적 해법과 미래 청사진을 선보이는 장이 될 전망이다.

박람회장은 총 5개 주제 마당(田) 으로 구성되어 관람객이 농업의 현재와 미래를 오감으로 체험할 수 있도록 꾸며졌다.

먼저 ‘상생마당전’에서는 미래세대와 소통하며 농촌 문화의 가치를 나누는 공간이 펼쳐진다.

어린이 스마트팜·드론 체험관, 청년 창업농 마켓, 전남 농산물 패션쇼, 월드 새참 콘테스트 등 다채로운 프로그램이 마련돼 가족 단위 관람객들의 발길을 사로잡을 예정이다.

‘농업미래전’은 인공지능(AI) 기술이 이끄는 농업의 미래를 체험할 수 있는 공간으로, AI 스마트팜, 기후변화 대응 품종, 우주 식량기술 전시, 자율주행 트랙터 체험, 로봇견 ‘스팟’ 시연 등 첨단 기술이 집약된다.

‘농업산업전’에서는 최신 농기계와 스마트팜 기술, 농자재 전시 및 판매 부스가 운영돼 농업 생산성 향상을 위한 산업 기술과 정보를 공유한다.

또한 ‘비즈니스전’에서는 K-농업의 글로벌 네트워크 확장을 위한 수출상담회와 학술행사가 마련된다.

16개국 50여 명의 해외 바이어가 참여하는 수출상담회, 월드푸드테크 포럼, 국제 커피 심포지엄 등이 열려 국제 교류의 장이 될 전망이다.

‘힐링치유전’에서는 풍요의 정원, 아열대 식물원, 고구마·감 수확 체험, K-커피 홍보관, 반려문화놀이터 등이 마련돼 자연 속에서 휴식과 치유를 경험할 수 있다.

특히 이번 박람회는 홍보 전 과정에 AI 기술을 활용해 눈길을 끈다.

공식 주제곡의 작곡·노래·뮤직비디오 제작 전 과정을 AI로 진행해 예산 절감과 효율성을 높이며, ‘AI와 함께하는 농업혁신’이라는 슬로건을 실천하는 새로운 홍보 모델을 제시했다.

박관수 전남도국제농업박람회 사무국장은 “이번 박람회는 단순한 기술 전시를 넘어, 기후 위기 시대 속에서 농업의 가치를 재발견하고 인류의 미래를 논의하는 장이 될 것”이라며 “대한민국이 첨단 농업 솔루션의 선도적 수출국으로 도약하는 전환점이 되길 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.

“Agriculture Changes the World” – 2025 International Agricultural Expo Opens in Naju on October 23
Participation from 25 countries and 380 institutions, showcasing AI agricultural innovation and diverse healing experiences
The 2025 International Agricultural Expo, a global festival presenting the future of Korean agriculture, will be held from October 23 to 29 for seven days at the Expo site in Sanpo-myeon, Naju, Jeollanam-do.
Under the main theme “Agriculture Changes the World” and the slogan “Agricultural Innovation with AI, Life-Growing K-Agriculture,” the event will feature participation from 380 organizations across 25 countries.
Amid global challenges such as the climate crisis and food security, the expo aims to present innovative solutions and a vision for the future of agriculture.
The expo grounds are organized into five themed zones (“Madang”), each offering an immersive experience that allows visitors to engage with the present and future of agriculture through all five senses.
The “Symbiosis Zone” focuses on communication with future generations and sharing the cultural values of rural communities.
It will feature a children’s smart farm and drone experience center, a youth startup farmers’ market, a Jeonnam agricultural fashion show, and a World Snack Contest, providing a rich array of family-friendly programs.
The “Agricultural Future Zone”, considered the core of the expo, will showcase AI-driven innovations in farming.
Visitors can experience AI smart farms, climate-resilient crop varieties, space food technology, as well as demonstrations of autonomous tractors and the robot dog ‘Spot’, offering a glimpse into cutting-edge agricultural technology.
The “Agricultural Industry Zone” will display the latest agricultural machinery, smart farming technologies, and agricultural materials, serving as a hub for sharing knowledge and improving productivity.
The “Business Zone” will strengthen global networks for K-Agriculture through export consultations and international academic forums.
It will host export meetings with over 50 overseas buyers from 16 countries, as well as the World Food Tech Forum and International Coffee Symposium, expanding opportunities for international cooperation.
In the “Healing & Wellness Zone,” visitors can relax and rejuvenate in the Garden of Abundance, subtropical greenhouse, sweet potato and persimmon harvesting experiences, K-Coffee promotional hall, and pet-friendly playground, offering a blend of nature and sensory healing.
A notable highlight of this year’s expo is its AI-powered promotion strategy.
The official theme song—including composition, vocals, and music video production—was entirely created using AI, reducing costs and production time while exemplifying the slogan “Agricultural Innovation with AI.”
Park Kwan-soo, Secretary-General of the Jeonnam International Agricultural Expo, stated,
