제9회 전국동시지방선거 개표 결과, 전남광주통합특별시장 선거에서는 더불어민주당 민형배 후보가 압도적인 득표율로 당선을 확정지었다.
해남군수 선거 역시 더불어민주당 명현관 후보가 큰 격차로 승리하며 재선에 성공했다.
중앙선거관리위원회 개표 집계에 따르면 4일 오전 1시 30분 기준 개표율 99.22%를 기록한 전남광주통합특별시장 선거에서 민형배 후보는 3만598표(85.78%)를 획득해 국민의힘 이정현 후보(2,682표·7.51%), 진보당 이종욱 후보(999표·2.80%), 정의당 강은미 후보(884표·2.47%), 무소속 김광만 후보(507표·1.42%)를 크게 앞섰다.
해남군수 선거에서는 개표율 99.96% 기준 더불어민주당 명현관 후보가 2만9,503표(82.43%)를 얻어 무소속 박지원 후보 6,286표(17.56%)를 제치고 압승을 거뒀다.
통합특별시의원 선거
통합특별시의원 제1선거구에서는 더불어민주당 김성일 후보가 1만4,828표(68.24%)를 획득하며 조국혁신당 민홍일 후보(6,900표·31.75%)를 누르고 당선을 확정했다.
제2선거구는 더불어민주당 박성재 후보가 단독 출마해 무투표 당선됐다.
해남군의원 선거 결과
가선거구(해남읍·마산면·산이면)
민찬혁(더불어민주당) : 5,167표(34.51%)
이정확(진보당) : 4,154표(27.75%)
민경매(더불어민주당) : 3,104표(20.73%)
이상 3명이 당선권에 진입했다.
나선거구(화산·문내·화원)
이성옥(더불어민주당) : 2,750표(39.67%)
김미숙(더불어민주당) : 2,260표(32.60%)
조국혁신당 명성호 후보(1,723표·24.85%)와 무소속 박훈동 후보(199표·2.87%)를 제치고 민주당 후보 2명이 당선됐다.
다선거구(현산·송지·북평)
노중희(더불어민주당) : 2,869표(46.25%)
박상정(더불어민주당) : 1,971표(31.77%)
무소속 이순태 후보(1,363표·21.97%)를 누르고 당선을 확정했다.
라선거구(삼산·화산·북일·옥천·계곡)
김동수(무소속) : 2,419표(31.33%)
한종천(더불어민주당) : 2,189표(28.35%)
김영환(더불어민주당) : 1,543표(19.98%)
무소속 박종부 후보(1,351표·17.50%)와 민동천 후보(218표·2.82%)를 제치고 3명이 당선권에 진입했다.
교육감 선거
전남광주통합특별시 교육감 선거에서는 김대중 후보가 1만6,357표(47.06%)를 얻어 선두를 달렸다.
이어 장관호 후보 9,355표(26.91%), 이정선 후보 5,467표(15.72%), 강숙영 후보 3,577표(10.29%) 순으로 나타났다.
민주당 강세 재확인
이번 선거에서는 통합특별시장과 군수 선거는 물론 광역·기초의원 선거 대부분에서 더불어민주당 후보들이 우세를 보이며 지역 내 강한 지지 기반을 재확인했다.
다만 해남군의원 가선거구에서는 진보당 이정확 후보가, 라선거구에서는 무소속 김동수 후보가 각각 당선권에 진입하며 다양한 정치세력의 진출 가능성도 확인됐다.
한편 선거관리위원회는 최종 개표 결과 확정 이후 당선증 교부와 함께 공식 선거 일정을 마무리할 예정이다.

The vote count for the 9th Nationwide Local Elections has confirmed a decisive victory for Democratic Party candidate Min Hyung-bae in the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City mayoral race.
In the HaeNam County governor election, Democratic Party candidate Myung Hyun-gwan secured re-election with a commanding lead over his opponent.
According to the National Election Commission's vote tally as of 1:30 a.m. on June 4, with 99.22% of ballots counted, Min Hyung-bae received 30,598 votes (85.78%), far ahead of People Power Party candidate Lee Jung-hyun with 2,682 votes (7.51%), Progressive Party candidate Lee Jong-wook with 999 votes (2.80%), Justice Party candidate Kang Eun-mi with 884 votes (2.47%), and independent candidate Kim Gwang-man with 507 votes (1.42%).
In the HaeNam County governor race, with 99.96% of votes counted, Myung Hyun-gwan won 29,503 votes (82.43%), defeating independent candidate Park Ji-won, who secured 6,286 votes (17.56%).
Special City Council Elections
In the 1st District Special City Council election, Democratic Party candidate Kim Sung-il won with 14,828 votes (68.24%), defeating Rebuilding Korea Party candidate Min Hong-il, who received 6,900 votes (31.75%).
In the 2nd District, Democratic Party candidate Park Sung-jae was elected unopposed.
HaeNam County Council Election Results
District A (HaeNam-eup, Masan-myeon, Sani-myeon)
Min Chan-hyuk (Democratic Party): 5,167 votes (34.51%)
Lee Jung-hwak (Progressive Party): 4,154 votes (27.75%)
Min Kyung-mae (Democratic Party): 3,104 votes (20.73%)
The three candidates secured seats on the county council.
District B (Hwasan-myeon, Munnae-myeon, Hwawon-myeon)
Lee Seong-ok (Democratic Party): 2,750 votes (39.67%)
Kim Mi-sook (Democratic Party): 2,260 votes (32.60%)
Both Democratic Party candidates were elected, defeating Rebuilding Korea Party candidate Myung Sung-ho (1,723 votes, 24.85%) and independent candidate Park Hoon-dong (199 votes, 2.87%).
District C (Hyeonsan-myeon, Songji-myeon, Bukpyeong-myeon)
Noh Joong-hee (Democratic Party): 2,869 votes (46.25%)
Park Sang-jung (Democratic Party): 1,971 votes (31.77%)
Both candidates won seats, ahead of independent candidate Lee Soon-tae, who received 1,363 votes (21.97%).
District D (Samsan-myeon, Hwasan-myeon, Bukil-myeon, Okcheon-myeon, Gyegok-myeon)
Kim Dong-soo (Independent): 2,419 votes (31.33%)
Han Jong-cheon (Democratic Party): 2,189 votes (28.35%)
Kim Young-hwan (Democratic Party): 1,543 votes (19.98%)
The three candidates secured council seats, defeating independent candidates Park Jong-bu (1,351 votes, 17.50%) and Min Dong-cheon (218 votes, 2.82%).
Superintendent of Education Election
In the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City Superintendent of Education election, Kim Dae-jung led the race with 16,357 votes (47.06%).
He was followed by:
Jang Gwan-ho: 9,355 votes (26.91%)
Lee Jung-sun: 5,467 votes (15.72%)
Kang Sook-young: 3,577 votes (10.29%)
Democratic Party's Stronghold Reaffirmed
The election results once again demonstrated the Democratic Party's dominance across the region, winning the Special Mayor race, the HaeNam County governor race, and most metropolitan and local council seats.
However, the election also highlighted political diversity, with Progressive Party candidate Lee Jung-hwak securing a seat in District A and independent candidate Kim Dong-soo winning in District D of the HaeNam County Council election.
The National Election Commission is expected to finalize the official results and issue certificates of election to successful candidates following the completion of the vote count.
